January 29th, 2023 – 33rd Sunday after Pentecost – Veneration of the precious Chains of the Holy Apostle Peter
For the first time in its 145-year history, the Saint Barbara Orthodox Church in Vevey had the honour of broadcasting the Sunday service on January 29th, 2023.
As part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the public radio and television in French-speaking Switzerland proposed an ecumenical morning broadcast live from 9 to 11 am on the radio “Espace 2”. Proclaimed in Slavonic and French, it allowed listeners to (re)discover the Orthodox liturgy.
This celebration is commented by the protodeacon Michel Vernaz, the sociologist Maria Haemmerli, as well as the Orthodox layman Noël Ruffieux. The presentation is given by RTSreligion journalists Grégory Roth and Matthias Wirz.
